Fantan Lake

In the summers, this lovely spot is one of our favorite getaway lakes. We will often come up here with our little ones, excitedly taking out the kayak to leisurely float out to the charming little island. There, we swim, build a cozy fire, and construct an impressive cairn that stands proudly on the shore. While you can certainly make the journey with a stock truck, you will likely encounter some obstacles along the way, as the road is pretty bumpy. From the main road, it's only about a 15-20 minute drive, making it quite accessible. However, it usually tends to be windy or rainy during our visits, so we never really got a lot of fishing in. Not too far away, Cliff Lake is just a short jaunt up the creek, offering additional adventures for those seeking more exploration.
