Christmas Lake
It all begins with an idea.
The Clarks Fork drainage located in the beautiful state of Wyoming offers an intriguing outdoor experience. It is less than a mile hike down from the highway, making it relatively accessible. However, it is important to note that you cannot actually see this picturesque lake from the road. There is a small pull-out area designated for parking, which can accommodate a few vehicles. The trail leading to the lake is very steep the entire way, lacking a clearly defined best route. On our visit, it took us approximately 35 minutes to hike back out while carrying a 3-year-old child. Despite the effort required, the area is known for providing good fishing opportunities.
